Peace Camp Summer Session #1 just wrapped up for the week! Check out our talented campers! They were so proud to showcase their talents this afternoon by displaying their knowledge of Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., anti-bullying tactics and peaceful solutions to problems!
Registration is underway for next two summer sessions of YWCA’s FREE Kids’ Peace Camp for students entering grades 2-5. Each camp will be held at YWCA McLean County, 1201 N. Hershey Road, Bloomington, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Session 2: July 8 – 12 (must register by July 1)
Session 3: August 12 – 16 (must register by August 5)
Peace Camp will help participants identify and establish leadership skills by demonstrating the importance of teamwork as well as the distribution of power and responsibility. Program objectives include team building, conflict resolution, bully intervention, multicultural diversity, self-esteem and self-confidence, delegation of power, healthy lifestyles, respect and advocacy.
